“Baseball has a long-term future over many years in London” – The New York Yankees came over to the United Kingdom to start a historic agreement.
It’s the home stadium of a Premier League football club and has hosted the best world class athletes in the world during the London Olympics in 2012. It was recently transformed for the weekend into a Major League Baseball (MLB) stadium for U.S. teams Red Sox and New York Yankees.
It was the first MLB match to be held at a European venue and the first time in their 2,200-match history to be played on synthetic turf. Gathering crowds of almost 60,000 people, it was a huge match for both teams and now holds the title of most watched game of a mid-season regular match.
Finishing victorious New York Yankees had ‘New York, New York’ by Frank Sinatra played over the stadium speakers to kick off their celebrations.
Broadcast RF proudly supplied RF aerial camera coverage from helicopter for NEP via ACS, in addition to a RF Handheld for BT Sport via Telegenic. Over the two plays of the weekend Broadcast RF supplied crystal clear wireless imagery of the main match play, also the locker rooms for both Red Sox and NY Yankees.
