This weekend Broadcast RF travelled to Manchester for coverage of the opening fixture of the 2014/15 Barclays Premier League.
The first match of the season saw Manchester United host Swansea City at Old Trafford on Saturday 16th August, in a 12.45pm kick-off live of BT Sport – a match that was always certain to get things started in exciting fashion.
Broadcast RF supplied a HD Helicopter Downlink System, transmitting live pictures from a helicopter which was flying overhead to the outside broadcast truck which was parked locally. Stunning scenes were captured from a bird’s eye view as more than 75,000 football fanatics flooded the Theatre of Dreams.
Swansea took the lead after 28 minutes when Ki Sung-Yeung slotted a low shot into the back of the net. Manchester United responded well and Wayne Rooney equalised just after the hour mark, but shortly after that Swansea’s Gylfi Sigurdsson fired his team back into the lead.
Louis van Gaal’s era at Manchester United got off to certainly didn’t get off to the best start. A 2-1 defeat at home to Swansea City came as a shock to many, but nonetheless Broadcast RF were on hand to bring you spectacular live pictures as the action got underway in breath-taking fashion.
