This October, the EPT 2013 headed to London’s Connaught Rooms for the second instalment of Europe’s richest poker tournament.
The Pokerstars EPT is a competition that practices the sport of Texas Hold’em throughout Europe, very similar to the World Poker Tour, with slight variations and adjustments regarding buy-in options, payout options, cash games and pot limits.
For a test day ahead of the competition, a wireless HD system was mounted on a Sony EX3 camera. The camera operator requested that an on the shoulder camera was made available, so in typical Broadcast RF fashion an easily manageable alternative lightweight system was prepped and ready for next day delivery. The alternate solution, a wireless system using a Thomson LDK8000 camera, worked perfectly, and was used throughout the rest of the entire tournament.
This year’s Main Event winner Robbie Bull walked away from London’s Connaught Rooms with a total of £113,405, and Broadcast RF were there to capture the tournament in its entirety. The equipment supplied operated without fault, and will no doubt be used for future instalments of the European Poker Tour.
