The 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup will kick off in just two weeks’ time with Canada winning the right to host.
This will mark the seventh Women’s World Cup and for the first time each teams squad will consist of 23 players, three of whom must be goalkeepers. This is 2 more than the 2011 tournament and the same number as the Men’s World Cup squad.
The Draw was held on 6th December 2014 at 12:00 local time at the Canadian Museum of Nature in Ottawa, Canada with the seeding pots being announced the day before.
In total, six cities have been selected to host tournament matches, Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Montreal and Moncton.
Broadcast RF are proud to be providing two wireless systems and one RF engineer to each hosting city for the duration of the FIFA Women’s World Cup with 52 matches in total.
This year’s games will commence on Saturday 6th June with Canada v China PR at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, with a capacity of 56,302 spectators. Matches will continue through to the Final in Vancouver on Sunday 5th July.
