The UCI Track Cycling World Championships are being held this year at London’s own Lee Valley VeloPark. True to form, the roar of the crowd has lifted the roof as the World’s track stars race to make sporting history and gain the coveted rainbow jerseys.
Great Britain’s Laura Trott delighted the home crowd with a thrilling sprint finish in the women’s Scratch Race. In the women’s Keirin Final Germany’s Kristina Vogel sped to victory, closely followed by 2015 champion Anna Meares.
Both the gold and silver medallist of the women’s Keirin event had the Broadcast RF VeloVue onboard camera installed allowing live pictures to be transmitted via the rear-facing back camera live around the world.
With three more days of racing to go there is plenty more excitement to be had with plans for the live VeloVue onboard cameras to be installed on many more races to allow the viewers to get up close and personal with the riders during the heat of the battle.
