The Mumbai Marathon is part of the World’s biggest single sport event for a social cause, charity.
The Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon started in the year 2004 based on the lines of London Marathon. It is one of the four legs of the Greatest Race on Earth. The remaining three are the Singapore, Hong Kong and Nairobi Marathons. The Marathon has grown every year and raised more and more funds for charity, making it extra popular.
This year saw the Ethiopian woman Netsanet Abeyo, break the course record beating the previous one by a margin of just over 40 seconds.
Once again this year’s marathon went smoothly and without faults insuring that everyone was pleased with the outcome.
Raymond Hume, Producer Procam International stated:
“The Guys from BRF were sensational – Mumbai is one of the most difficult a location that you can find to stage the broadcast of a Marathon as helicopter linking is just not possible. The results we achieved from the bike coverage on course with the BRF technology was well beyond my expectations”.
