The Legion hosted their annual Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall to commemorate all those who have lost their lives in conflict. As always, there were truly spectacular performances running throughout the day to help us remember the men and women who lost their lives to conflict – people from many different nations, cultures, religions and communities who all came together to stand shoulder to shoulder to defend our freedom.
The Legion also hosted their annual Remembrance Sunday Service at Cenotaph on Whitehall, London. Starting morning of Sunday 10th November, the service honoured the sacrifice of our Armed Forces community including both British and Commonwealth veterans, the allies that fought alongside us and the civilian servicemen and women involved in the two World Wars and conflicts that followed.
Broadcast RF worked closely over the duration of the weekend with Telegenic (Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall) and CTV (Cenotaph Remembrance Sunday) in order to produce top quality RF for this immensely important annual event for the BBC. Broadcast RF sent numerous RF Engineers and several RF Systems.
All in all, an overall success with compliments from the BBC Creative Directors such as “remarkable work” and “innovating as ever”.
As always with this event, we remember the reasoning behind it and we remember those which we lost to war for our freedom today.
